First months of Life

Hi there, I'm Xander, and this is my story:

I was born at 40 weeks, healthy and big. My mom and I spent two days at the hospital, and then we went home. I loved my house, comfortable, warm, and above. I loved the idea of being surrounded by my family.

In my first months of life, I was more alert to the things around me. I laughed, looked at my mom and other relatives. I was a happy baby.

As the months went by, my mother realized that I was not interested in any toys, that I did not hold my head independently, I was not able to turn around by myself, I did not crawl, nor did I sit alone, I did not have control of my hands, they were always doing different movements, I was not grasping anything, and I couldn't hold any toys for long.

Due to these developmental delays, I was referred to early intervention. Various professionals evaluated me, such as an occupational therapist, physical therapist, and special instruction therapist. The reports said that I was delayed in different development areas and that I had to receive occupational, physical therapy, and special instructions.

Mis primeros meses de vida

Hola, soy Xander, y esta es mi historia:

Nací a las 40 semanas, sano y grande. Mi mamá y yo pasamos dos días en el hospital y luego nos fuimos a casa. Amaba mi casa, cómoda, cálida y mas allá de lo deseaba. Me encantaba la idea de estar rodeado de mi familia.

En mis primeros meses de vida, estaba más alerta a las cosas que me rodeaban. Me reía, miraba a mi mamá y a otros familiares. Era un bebe muy feliz.

Con el paso de los meses, mi madre se dio cuenta de que no me interesaban los juguetes, que no sostenía la cabeza de forma independiente, no podía darme la vuelta por mi cuenta, no gateaba, ni me sentaba solo, no tenía control de mis manos, siempre hacían diferentes movimientos, no agarraba nada y no podía sostener ningún juguete por mucho tiempo.

Debido a estos retrasos en el desarrollo, me refirieron a intervención temprana. Varios profesionales me evaluaron, una terapeuta ocupacional, fisioterapeuta y terapeuta de instrucción especial. Los informes decían que estaba retrasado en diferentes áreas del desarrollo y que tenía que recibir terapia ocupacional, fisioterapia e instrucciones especiales.
